Senior Financial Analyst

New York City, NY

The Estee Lauder Companies’ multibillion-dollar E-Commerce business is looking for a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to help lead Capital analytics our rapidly growing digital organization. This role will cover the analysis of key strategic Capital investments across various areas including Digital Operations, Innovation, Infrastructure, Engineering, Omnichannel, and Marketing Technology. This role will have a global impact, collaborating with business partners across all regions, markets, and brands which currently have an Online presence. Reporting to the Manager of Finance, this role will work closely with leaders of Global Online to leverage data and deliver insights and analytics to support critical decision making. 


Key responsibilities include:

  • Own and manage various projects from end-to-end focused on scoping, executing, and presenting powerful analyses around various digital initiatives (e.g. payment solutions, enhanced CX, new website features & functionalities, omnichannel capabilities etc.)
  • Work closely with cross-functional business partners to understand and obtain relevant datasets, developing new methodologies for evaluating Online capital investments
  • Assess ROI for projects supporting both cost saving & revenue driving opportunities (e.g. business case analyses), and conduct post-mortem analyses to deliver actionable insights and guide business partners to make the best-informed investment decisions
  • Develop framework to monitor, measure, analyze, and model performance for digital innovation initiatives (i.e. virtual try on), including identifying new opportunities and creating a data-driven “innovation pipeline” to communicate to stakeholders across the organization
  • Support annual long-range planning process by working closely with business partners to develop financial plans that support key business strategies and objectives
  • Support annual budget processes, working closely with individuals around the world to create both detailed and holistic views on how capital investments impact Sales and NOP planning
  • Challenge the status quo in a continuously evolving the ecommerce business, seek areas for process improvement, and drive towards excellence while supporting decision-making that is grounded in data, analytics and insights


Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or strategy within the Consumer-focused technology and/or ecommerce industry
  • Demonstrated ability to transform vast amounts of data into analytics, insights and action
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate and drive cross-functional consensus
  • Be transformative, curious, entrepreneurial, forward-thinking, highly organized, analytical and detail oriented 
  • Consumer products and/or retail industry experience, preferred
  • Undergraduate degree in finance or economics is preferred; MBA a plus
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint experience; Google Analytics knowledge a plus
