Senior Financial Analyst

The Boeing Company is hiring an Experienced or Senior Financial Analyst to support the Experimental Systems Finance team in Seal Beach, California or one of the listed locations.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops resource forecasts and/or Estimates at Completion (EACs) for control accounts, budgets, functions or pools; financial EACs for contracts or programs
  • Initiates analysis of: resource forecasts and/or control account EACs; financial EACs
  • Compiles data from different sources and develops performance reports
  • Initiates variance analyses and provides understanding of operational and financial performance to management
  • Makes recommendations to management on financial performance projections using financial and business knowledge and experience
  • Develops, reviews, analyzes and maintains cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value, and variance analyses and communicates cost and/or schedule trends
  • Develops cases using appropriate indices


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.


This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)


This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3 or more years of experience in a finance related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)
  • 3 or more years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • 3 or more years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
  • 3 or more years of experience developing presentations and presenting financial information to various levels of management


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Experience using Deltek Cobra or similar Earned Value Management software
  • Ability to lead projects with little direct supervision and drive project to completion
  • Highly motivated self-starter and self-directed learner with a creative mind, and high attention to detail


Typical Education & Experience: 

Experienced (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).


Senior (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

  • Summary pay range for Experienced (Level 3): 79,050 – 115,000
  • Summary pay range for Senior (Level 4): 99,450 – 143,750
