This Senior Financial Analyst within Financial Planning & Analysis contributes to REI’s success by informing strategic decisions and plans using empirical data and systems thinking. The Analyst provides this support to senior management across the organization and is an integral part of financial, strategic, and operational planning. This analyst is focused on forecasting and planning top line drivers of the business from Demand and Revenue, key customer metrics, and channel level transactional flows. The Senior Financial Analyst is expected to be able to work independently with the Divisions they support representing the Finance Department as a subject matter expert. You will model how changing business strategies will impact financial outcomes and analyze potential solutions that improve our ability to meet our goals.

  • Drives proactive ad-hoc financial analysis by identifying what information is needed, where the data can be found and how it should be compiled, analyzed & presented
  • Owns the maintenance, modification, and development of forecasting models for the purpose of generating financial demand and revenue plans for strategic planning, budget, and intra-year forecasting
  • Leads and or participates in weekly cross divisional planning meetings with the goal of sharing and aligning key inputs and outputs for planning purposes
  • Works with department managers to capture plans around influential variables for future forecasts
  • Responsible for tracking, measuring, and communicating results compared to plans for the purpose of increasing forecast accuracy and planning disciplines
  • Produces regular Co-op reporting including Board Packets, Business Reviews, and key operational dashboards
  • Identifies financial impact of strategic objectives, which are to be factored into the five-year strategic plan.


Bring your passion and expertise

  • 3-5 years of financial planning & forecasting
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or similar
  • MBA or similar certification
  • 3-5 years experience in data mining and extraction skills like; SQL, Python, R
  • Demonstrates a strong competency of Statistics Ability to analyze and/or design processes that can scale to meet objectives as well as develop measurements to control these processes
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze and objectively solve problems using sound judgment
  • Ability to communicate complex material using visualization tools like PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau
  • Show the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management and problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record of cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders that have resulted in high customer satisfaction 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience interfacing with Board of Directors and senior management professionals
  • Demonstrated effective leadership, supervising and interpersonal skills to instruct or assign work to others, motivate and coach, and evaluate work performance
  • Actively participates and collaborates with others on one's own team and across REI for the achievement of business goals
  • Flexible in one's viewpoints and positions in order to support the direction taken by others at REI
  • Uses business knowledge, innovative thinking, and sound judgment in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business opportunities
  • Consolidates information from various sources including feedback from others to reach sound decisions

As required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, REI provides a range of compensation for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location or other relevant factors. 


The pay for this role is: $83700 - $134000 per year .
