Senior Financial Analyst

CHS has an exciting opportunity within our Ag Retail business. We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to lead capital investment decision support, Capital Budgeting and Approval processes. You must be a detail oriented, analytical, highly organized self-starter with the ability to multi-task and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

This position is hybrid but will need to travel up to 10% of the time to operating plants in the field.


  • Be a trusted business partner for the Ag Retail operations team
  • Build relationships at all levels of the organization to facilitate collaboration across business departments and functions to deliver desired outcomes
  • Prepare financial proformas and approval materials to support large capital investments
  • Organize and lead project approval meetings with business leadership team
  • Partner with Ops leaders to prioritize new capital projects and present to leadership teams in monthly planning reviews.
  • Develop and implement capital standard processes across Ag division
  • Lead capital budgeting and forecasting processes with facility managers and plant analysts
  • Report actual capex spend on monthly basis
  • Provide support to Ag Retail analysts

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, and/or Financial Planning and Analysis 

Additional Qualifications

  • Strong financial budgeting, forecasting and analytical skills
  • Experience in developing and use of financial dashboards, modeling and reporting
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Ability to build external and internal relationships in order to effectively and creatively solve problems
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • CPA or MBA preferred

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications.
