Senior Finance Manager

The Intuit Customer Success (ICS) ecosystem takes a platform approach to connect people to expertise and serve customers along a spectrum of preference. We enable and drive significant growth for Intuit through customer and expert experiences across all Intuit products and services, on a global scale. 

Small Business & Self Employed Group (SBSEG) is Intuit’s largest business unit with $6B+ in revenue, serving over 7M customers with the QuickBooks line of products including accounting, payments, payroll, capital lending, and banking. The US SBSEG Finance team is critical in driving business growth and profitability through strategic, financial and operational leadership.

Come join Intuit as part of the ICS Finance team as a Senior Finance Manager responsible for SBSEG Customer Success, partnering with the SBSEG Customer Success leadership team and QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Live businesses. This position reports to the ICS Ecosystem Finance Director.


You are a seasoned finance leader, with strong analytical and modeling skills and a deep SaaS understanding. You also have demonstrable experience of acting as a business partner, supporting and challenging non-finance stakeholders, and thinking through end-to-end experiences to holistically solve problems.

As this role involves constant interaction with senior non-finance stakeholders across the business, you need the confidence and emotional intelligence to effectively communicate at all levels. The ideal candidate has worked in the tech industry and enjoys operating in an extremely fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. 

  • 10+ years of experience, including 2+ years of supervisory responsibility
  • Experience in FP&A, management consulting or investment banking or similar roles
  • Ability to lead teams to deliver exceptional results and drive business growth
  • Ability to influence all levels of leadership to drive actions, behaviors, decisions and business outcomes
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to analyze complex business scenarios by building/improving financial models
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with ability to work independently in a fast paced environment, simultaneously manage several priorities, and challenge the status quo to lead change and operational improvements
  • Attention to details and ability to synthesize large volumes of data into insightful recommendations to the executive leadership team
  • Grace under pressure with a good sense of humor and dose of humility
  • Strong accounting knowledge especially in a software/SaaS environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with experience in presenting to business partners with confidence, conviction, and credibility
  • Experience with SaaS/Cloud Computing business models a plus; MBA a plus


  • Team coaching: Operate in a leader capacity, proactively influencing, leading & coaching within the Finance organization and cross-functional teams. This role will mentor and coach 2 financial analysts. 
  • Strategic planning: Be a trusted advisor to the SBSEG Customer Success leadership team to develop and refine our 1- and 3-year strategic plans, proactively highlighting risk and opportunities related to business growth and drive optimal investment decisions through data-driven insights and business modeling expertise. 
  • Strategic growth: Partner with emerging QuickBooks Live leadership team and revenue partners to advise on how Customer Success can best enable the growth opportunity
  • Operational excellence: Partner with the Segment Revenue, Analytics, and Operations partners to develop and monitor key performance indicators to drive insights and decision making in order to achieve our strategic and financial plans.
  • Modeling: Work with your team and partners to create financial models to analyze complex business scenarios that drive, inform, and execute our strategy (e.g. labor models, matching supply capacity with customer demand, margin analysis).
  • Financial reporting: Lead creation of financial reporting deliverables (month-end close package, variance explanations, etc) to enable transparency into the business’s performance and drivers. Liaise with the Corporate Accounting team and cross-functional business partners to ensure correct accounting treatment of business activities.
  • Process improvement: Drive efficiencies and continuous improvement by streamlining, standardizing and automating processes and reporting requirements.

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $179,000 - 242,000, Southern California $154,000 - 208,500.

This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits).
