Senior Executive Communications Lead

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Communications Consultant. This position will be responsible for executive, internal and external communications on the Risk and Audit Communications team. 


In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic counselor to executive leadership in Risk & Audit
  • Develop and implement communications strategies to promote and protect Wells Fargo’s reputation
  • Partner with other Communications teams to ensure alignment of communications strategies and messaging
  • Provide strategic counsel and communications support for the team
  • Develop and deploy integrated communications strategies and plans that align with business objectives
  • Leverage the Centers of Excellence for best-in-class content, storytelling, branding and media results
  • Partner closely with other communicators to identify connection points and leverage best practices, including coordinating LOB communications for dual-report/dotted-line communications where applicable
  • Lead innovative approaches to help leaders create enhanced employee engagement
  • Offer insights and influence decision-making based on risk or reputational matters
  • Partner with communicators to create alignment and support for enhancing the overall corporate reputation
  • Advise executive leadership on communications strategy to drive business priorities, and support Diversity, Equity and Inclusion


Required Qualifications, US:

  • 7+ years of Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience developing integrated communications strategies and plans for top executives
  • Experience counseling executives on high profile issues and the delivery of internal communications
  • Experience designing executive thought leadership platforms
  • Experience in crisis communications and issues management
  • Experience with proactive and reactive media relations
  • Experience developing compelling content and leveraging multiple channels for creative storytelling
  • Experience in Risk & Audit communications a plus


Job Expectations:

Pay Range:

  • NY- New York Pay Range: $133,300- $237,100
  • NC- Charlotte Pay Range: $111,100- $197,500
  • Salary range is determined by location of the job
