Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Human Resources One Toyota Benefits Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Executive Benefit Analyst.


The primary responsibility of this role is to support the administration, ensure compliance, develop communications, and promote continuous improvement of all executive benefits plans and programs for executives, their dependents, and executive retirees of Toyota Motor North America ensuring alignment with the company values. 


Reporting to the Executive Benefits Manager, the person in this role will support the Executive Benefits team's objective to deliver customer service at its highest levels to the company’s active and retired executives.


What you’ll be doing 

  • Handle highly sensitive and confidential information on a routine basis
  • Conducting executive new hire on-boarding and delivering newly eligible benefit offerings to as well as to recently promoted individuals in person or via Skype 
  • Ensuring company compliance with provisions of ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, OSHA, Worker’s Compensation, and other local regulatory and legislative requirements; coordinates preparation of regulatory filings with federal and state agencies, including IRS, DOL, PBGC, and other regulatory agencies
  • Partner with third-party vendors to ensure they adhere to established processes, meet agreed-upon service levels, and promptly address any participant issues that may arise 
  • Prepare and conduct pension estimates and retirement summaries for potential retirees
  • Respond to executive and retiree questions 
  • Administer monthly Northern Trust wire
  • Administer annual TERA contribution
  • Administer bi-annual DCP open enrollment process
  • Own/Assist with projects
  • Back up for Administrator as needed
  • Assist in continuously improving executive processes; look into more automation, less manual processes
  • Ad hoc projects/tasks as needed


What you bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) or equivalent work experience in Human Resources – Benefits
  • Knowledge of qualified and non-qualified plans to include Health & Welfare, Retirement, and Ancillary Programs 
  • Knowledge of ERISA and IRS legal regulations 
  • Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to benefit plans, programs, or practices; company policies and operations 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to perform with the utmost integrity in a professional and ethical manner
  • Proven strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills
  • Recent and extensive experience managing external vendor relationships
  • Strong presentation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong analytical skills and mathematical aptitude
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team in a very fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability and willingness to travel 15% of the time


Added bonus if you have 

  • MBA (or higher) or advanced relevant education or training (i.e. SHRM, CEBS, etc.)
  • HRIS, ADP, and Workday systems experience 
  • Experience with Executive Benefits
