Nova Credit is seeking a highly qualified Senior Director/VP of Strategy & Finance to join our Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in our next phase of growth.


This leader will drive critical decision-making processes, uncover key insights to guide business strategy and ensure financial operations and compliance excellence.


This is an influential role that combines strategic vision, financial acumen, and operational leadership.

This is a full-time position reporting to the COO. Candidates based out of the New York Metropolitan Area or the Greater Boston Area are preferred. 


Responsibilities Include:

  • Financial planning & strategy: Drive our strategic and financial planning cycles, developing comprehensive models and scenarios to evaluate growth opportunities, operational plans, and potential M&A. Provide data-driven recommendations to allocate resources and prioritize initiatives optimally.
  • Goal-setting, KPIs & reporting: Establish company-wide OKRs and KPIs linking to our strategic plan. Develop robust tracking and reporting mechanisms, deliver actionable insights, and ensure tight alignment across teams.
  • Capital strategy & investor relations: I oversee capital planning and funding strategy. I also manage board relations, materials, fundraising activities, investor communications, and due diligence requests.
  • Business partnership & strategic projects: Deeply understand our products, markets, and operations. Partner cross-functionally acting as a strategic advisor, driving ad hoc analytical and operational projects and supporting key decisions.
  • Financial operations excellence: Own all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cash management, accounting, audit, tax, and regulatory compliance, partnering with the finance team. Implement best-in-class processes and controls.
  • Revenue operations: Develop our revenue operations capabilities to create and execute quarterly and annual revenue plans, help define and improve pre- and post-sales processes, analyze and share insights on key revenue trends, design and measure metrics to enhance overall productivity, and ultimately help scale our business effectively.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team: Attract top talent and provide inspiring leadership to the Strategy & Finance team. Mentor and develop a collaborative, results-driven culture focused on continuous improvement.


Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate finance, strategy, investment banking, and/or management consulting are required; fintech experience is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional financial and analytical capabilities with granular attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven strategic thinking, business judgment, and problem-solving skills. Track record leading complex, analytical, and operational projects from conception through execution.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and convey insights to cross-functional teams and senior executives.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort operating in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment. Ability to influence and unite stakeholders around a shared vision.
  • Strong team-building and management skills; desire and ability to lead a company-wide function.


$216,000 - $291,000 a year


The Base Salary Range is for U.S.-based candidates, and is dependent on individual experience, skills, education, location, and qualifications.
