Senior Director Global Marketing

The Senior Director of Global Marketing will report directly to Corporate Learning’s Executive Vice President and lead the unit’s global marketing strategy and initiatives. You will create and lead the execution of a comprehensive global marketing strategy paving the way for the next phase of growth for the business — a strategy that will help differentiate Corporate Learning’s place in the market and lead to significant long-term growth. This role will be a core member of the Corporate Learning Leadership team and plays a critical role in developing and executing the overall strategy for the business. We’re looking for significant experience with all facets of B2B integrated global marketing strategy. S/he brings strategic perspective, strong differentiated positioning expertise, preferably with a high growth EdTech background. S/he has a deep desire to build relationships with our clients to understand their existing challenges and develop a compelling vision for the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a member of the Corporate Learning leadership team, consistently define and execute the comprehensive strategy for the Corporate Learning business
  • Provide strategic leadership for the Global Marketing team with a focus on the following areas:

Develop a deep and continually evolving understanding of our senior buyers including:

  • Primary “jobs” they need to do
  • What they worry about
  • What compels them
  • What creates meaningful and lasting loyalty with their external partners

Value proposition and brand strategy

  • Continually assess Corporate Learning’s differentiated value proposition   
  • Develop thought leadership for sales campaigns and digital messaging platforms
  • Design and develop highly engaging marketing tools

Client acquisition and retention

  • Develop and implement clear strategies focused on winning new business and creating deep loyalty and expanding our buyer base among existing clients
  • Design and execute highly engaging and innovative experiences/programs to win new business and drive client loyalty
  • Solutions marketing
  • Go-to-market strategies for all Corporate Learning solutions

Leverage data

  • Continuously leverage data from across the business to adapt and enhance global marketing strategy including:
  • Market segmentation
  • Pricing and business model analysis
  • Win-loss
  • Pipeline trends
  • Market insights
  • Analyst reports

Internal communication platform(s) tied to the strategy and transformation work of the business

  • Develop trusted working relationships with key functional leaders across the business including client engagement and product management teams in Corporate Learning as well as the heads of marketing in our other business units

Experience Required:

  • 10+ years of proven success in business to business global marketing leadership in high growth EdTech or Learning and Development organizations
  • Bachelor degree required, MBA preferred
