Senior Copywriter

New York, NY

Our growing creative team is looking for a collaborative and conceptual Senior Copywriter to take WeWork’s brand storytelling to the next level. Focused on both the Global Brand and U.S. and Canada territories, you’ll be our team’s copy lead—working alongside writers, designers, producers, and marketing partners to concept and execute work across the brand. With the power of your words, you’ll introduce audiences to WeWork’s unmatched products and solutions—inspiring communities through multichannel marketing, including digital and print advertising campaigns, emails, events, videos, and more. As people look to the future of work, this is an exciting time to be at WeWork—and you’ll play a major role in writing this new chapter.

About you:

Equal parts wordsmith, strategist, grammar geek, and storyteller, you’re passionate about brand building and the craft of copy. A verbal designer in every sense, you sweat the small stuff—playing with sentence structure, poring over prose and punctuation, and championing style consistency. You expertly balance refined execution with big picture thinking, coming up with concepts that not only answer the brief but push it. You’re highly strategic and curious, not shying away from asking tough questions, learning on-the-go, and doing your own research. Lastly, you’re a true team player who is inspired by working alongside others. Always on your toes, you can pivot quickly while not missing a beat.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple, multichannel marketing projects at a time, responsible for concept through delivery (including paid social and print ads, event series, promotional videos, etc.)
  • Equal parts concept and execution, you generate fresh ideas quickly, introducing new ways to promote our offerings and products across B2B and consumer audiences
  • As the most senior copywriter on team, responsible for quality control of copy outputs including proofreading and editing—ensuring flawless execution of materials
  • Concept and script videos that showcase our products and benefits
  • Execute high volume of marketing deliverables catered to local U.S. cities and audiences, up-leveling WeWork’s messaging across the region
  • Keep projects on track, expertly manage personal and project-level workflows, schedules, and deadlines
  • Educate marketing associates and creative partners on our Voice Guidelines to ensure clarity and consistency throughout all of our communications
  • Approach all projects through a strategic lens—crafting with an audience-first mindset
  • Clearly articulate creative rationale to cross-functional partners and executive leadership

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Have 6+ years of experience at a creative agency or in-house at a brand-forward company
  • Advanced understanding of paid social and digital advertising concept and copy best practices
  • A dynamic portfolio showcasing strengths in concepting, with an emphasis on paid social, events, and marketing collateral
  • Calm in fast-paced environment and very comfortable with problem solving
  • Highly collaborative, organized, and a self-starter
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communicator
  • People management experience is a plus, but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, advertising, or related field

Candidates must submit a proper portfolio in order to be considered for the position.
