Senior Content Marketing Manager

Washington, District of Columbia, United States

Consistently named one of the top D.C. start-ups to watch since 2016, Quorum builds software that helps public affairs professionals work smarter and move faster. Our philosophy is people-first, whether we're supporting team members in their careers or prioritizing our clients with a best-in-class customer success program. Quorum's clients use our tools to bring a modern approach to advocacy work in Congress, all 50 state legislatures, major U.S. cities, the European Union, and more than a dozen countries.

The Senior Content Marketing Manager will be in charge of developing and executing a content and channel strategy that helps Quorum build sales pipeline and customer advocates. They will strategize content throughout the sales process — driving inbound demo requests and supporting demand generation and customer marketing campaigns.

Along with being a strategic leader, the Senior Content Marketing Manager will also be a content creator. They will write their own pieces and work with freelance writers and creatives to meet Quorum’s content needs.

What You’ll Do

  • First Week: You’ll read through Quorum’s existing content library and meet the other members of Quorum’s marketing team to understand how content fits into our larger marketing strategy.
  • First Month: You’ll learn the ins and outs of Quorum’s product and how it addresses the needs of different users and organization types. You will evaluate our existing content for opportunities to refresh it or present it in new formats.
  • First Six Months: You will set goals specific to content team outcomes and develop the path to get there. You will develop content ideas for yourself and the team to support demand generation and sales enablement while publishing new content consistently across mediums and channels. You’ll help promote your content through new channel strategies and content partnerships.
  • First Year: You will take a data-driven approach to measure content’s success in impacting brand awareness, demand generation, and customer advocacy, then refine your strategy based on those insights. You’ll also begin to manage other members of the content marketing team.

About You

  • You have at least five years of experience writing long-form content, at least 3 of which are in an in-house content marketing role.
  • You have experience writing blogs, webinars, case studies, and other content to support an inbound marketing funnel for a B2B organization — SaaS is a plus.
  • You are an active member of brainstorming conversations and are comfortable working cross-functionally with other marketing and sales leaders including product marketing, demand generation, and sales enablement.
  • You have experience managing outside resources like designers or video editors to support your content and are interested in managing internal team members (you’ll start as an individual contributor, but this role will move into management as the team grows).
  • You have experience as an editor and are comfortable giving feedback on team members’ writing
  • You are an especially competitive candidate if you have at least one year of experience working in or around the public affairs industry (e.g., working for a government agency, lobbying in a state legislature, and/or building grassroots advocacy programs at a non-profit organization)
  • You are a natural problem solver — when you recognize an opportunity to improve a process or test a new idea, you take it and run with it.

About the Marketing Team

  • We’re a close-knit team of innovative, hardworking, and optimistic people who value responsibility, productive discourse, and personal growth
  • We work hard to deliberately develop our team member’s careers. We are voracious learners and will be your mentors, confidantes, and supporters
