Senior Compensation Analyst

General Summary: The Senior Compensation Analyst plays a crucial role in implementing and maintaining compensation structures. The primary focus is to ensure competitive market pricing, attract and retain talent, and adhere to all legal regulations related to compensation. As part of this role, you will provide compensation guidance and consultation to HR Partners and managers, specifically in the areas of job evaluations, salary recommendations, and addressing general compensation inquiries. Additionally, you will actively contribute to the successful execution of annual compensation processes.


Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 + Discretionary Bonus + 401k (50%) Match, 100% Medical paid, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, STD, LTD, PTO.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement Compensation Structures: Develop and maintain compensation levels and salary ranges for various positions within the organization.
  • Job Evaluations: Assess job roles to determine classification (exempt or nonexempt) and recommend appropriate salary ranges.
  • Benchmarking and Market Research: Manage the compensation benchmarking process, select relevant market peers, and participate in surveys to ensure competitive compensation practices.
  • Internal Equity and Best Practices: Establish and maintain compensation guidelines to achieve internal equity and competitiveness with the external market.
  • Pay Strategies: Collaborate in developing and implementing pay strategies aligned with business unit requirements.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare summary reports on job analysis and compensation analysis. Communicate recommendations effectively.
  • Project Leadership: Lead compensation-related projects, track milestones, and ensure successful program execution.
  • Compliance and Auditing: Audit pay practices to comply with federal and state legislation. Document findings and recommend solutions.
  • Market Trends and Insights: Stay informed about compensation trends and practices, networking with peer companies.
  • Custom Surveys and Communication Plans: Develop custom surveys, analyze submissions, and create communication plans to reinforce compensation strategy and total reward programs.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration, or a related field 
  • Minimum of 5 years in a compensation role.
  • Experience in designing and implementing compensation structures.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations affecting compensation and benefits.


Nice to Have:

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation.
  • Strong understanding of compensation and benefits regulations.
  • Familiarity with Oracle HCM.
