Senior Art Director

Billie is hiring for a full-time Senior Art Director. In this role you will join a team that is responsible for how the Billie brand is brought to life visually, digitally, experientially, and physically – from design strategy to concepting to production. We’re looking for someone self-motivated who knows our audience, understands our values, and is a conceptual thinker.

What you'll do:

Assist with the Creative Director of Design’s goals with strategic design solutions, proactive engagement with the design team, and dedication to Billie’s identity system and design-forward brand
Conceptualize, develop, and produce exceptional design for digital, print, packaging, product and environmental applications
Lead art direction concepting and on-set direction
Lead visual and cultural research
Work in close collaboration with Design team and with colleagues from all departments
Act as liaison with outside vendors as needed

What we're looking for:

B.F.A. in design with 7+ years of professional design experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience
3–5 years of experience leading campaigns and content creation
Strong typographic ability
Experience managing print production
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite
An expert across various channels — both print and digital
Someone who has an obsession with the details but the ability to think big picture
An understanding of developing strategy and experience executing strategic direction
The ability to challenge and push our design aesthetic: you're known for bringing new ideas and strategic thinking that balances business needs and forward thinking
A passion for the arts and culture, with a strong POV
A hands-on self starter who is comfortable with fast turnarounds and tight timelines
Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
A proactive and collaborative approach; you love working with people and people love working with you
Someone who can lead by example and demonstrate Billie’s core values
