Senior Acquisition Marketing Manager

Cambridge, MA

You'll play a critical role in developing and executing our go-to-market strategy to further establish Wistia as a leader in the video marketing space.


Wistia is looking for an experienced acquisition marketing manager to help us develop and execute our strategy for acquiring, engaging, and converting our Medium Business segment. The ideal candidate is a customer-centric marketer who can turn insights into action and optimize the conversion funnel across our paid marketing channels. You will collaborate closely with our sales directors, as well as our paid media agency, brand marketing and content marketing teams to drive leads and revenue in our Mid-Market customer segment (currently defined as 100+ employees). 


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a deep understanding of our potential customer’s pain points and opportunities with video in order to develop marketing campaigns that resonate with our ideal customers. 
  • Develop, execute, manage and measure mid-market demand generation strategies and programs that help our GTM teams hit their goals.
  • Drive the strategy, day-to-day management, and optimization of our paid media campaigns in partnership with our agency. 
  • Provide campaign analysis and performance back to stakeholders, with recommendations on what we should do more of, or eliminate, in an effort to maximize ROI and meet business goals.
  • Be the Marketing team’s point person for our Directors of Sales helping our teams work in tandem to forecast lead volume, and provide a world class experience for people considering Wistia’s offering. 
  • Define and report on KPIs and business-related measures of success. Identify and help build the internal capabilities needed (working with product, engineering, and data science teams) to determine the success of marketing and media initiatives.
  • Experiment. The ideal candidate is passionate about finding creative solutions that improve conversion rates throughout the mid-market funnel. 
  • Be a marketing leader at Wistia. Collaborate closely with other marketing teams. Manage and mentor 1-2 marketers. Be a part of an elite, creatively-driven marketing organization that other companies look to for inspiration and guidance. 


Qualifications

  • Experience with paid media tactics and marketing platforms such as Google Ads, social platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc., direct buys and content syndications programs via trade publications, etc.
  • Deep experience developing holistic customer-centric customer acquisition marketing strategies from scratch
  • 5-7 years managing paid budgets or in tandem with a vendor.  
  • Experience building acquisition and growth strategies in both freemium/ self-serve and sales-driven environments.
  • Deep understanding of the full range of marketing tactics and emerging marketing trends
  • Experience setting, tracking performance of, and reporting on marketing KPIs
  • Experience managing teams and fostering career growth.

Location/Remote Opportunities

We have a beautiful office in Cambridge, MA, but we are a hybrid workplace. This means permanently remote applicants will be considered, but we'll prioritize local applicants, those willing to relocate, or those within 3 hours of EST.
