The Ann Arbor office is seeking a motivated Scientific Intern. The qualified candidate will support a team of environmental consultants that complete a wide variety of site investigation and remediation projects that include wetland delineations and qualitative habitat analyses; Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Investigations; soil, groundwater and vapor investigations; and redmediation projects that may included excavation and offsite disposal, soil vapor and groundwater extraction and insitu chemical reduction. 

This is a paid internship that provides the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge in various aspects of environmental site investigation and remediation field. The position is open to upcoming or recent graduates with a 4-year or higher degree in geology, environmental engineering or science, geographic information systems, geography, physical/chemical sciences, biology, and related environmental disciplines from an accredited university. Duties will be primarily office work, with the possibility of field work, including sample and data collection. Office work will require the ability to summarize environmental data for input into technical reports and create accurate data tables, filing and general office administration.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a 4-year accredited university or recent graduate (Geology, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemical Sciences, or other related environmental disciplines). 
• Must be computer literate and have knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), Auto CAD is a plus. 
• Current 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification is a plus.
• A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
