SAS Developer/Process Manager

Hybrid work arrangement (3 days in the office/2 days remote).


Location is flexible within the Seacoast footprint in Florida.


The position is a vital member of the Seacoast Analytics team and will be responsible for managing, developing, and enhancing the Bank’s customer analytics processes and reporting.


The successful candidate will write new, modify, and support SAS code (base, macro, SQL) that runs in the SAS Viya environment. Additionally, there may be other data related projects such as dashboard development, process automation, investigation of new data sources, and ad hoc reporting/analysis.


It is expected that the successful candidate for this role will be proficient in SAS development and coding techniques and, with guidance and training, manage SAS production processes. Experience with SAS Viya Visual Analytics and Python programming (Jupyter Notebooks and Spyder) is also desirable. 


Responsibilities

  • Ensure that production SAS jobs are executed on time and the results are accurate.
  • Responsible for extracting, transforming, and loading raw data in various platforms using SAS code, validate and ensure data accuracy, completeness, and operational data quality.
  • Identify and implement process improvement.
  • Development of reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Work with other analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Automate analytic processes as the opportunity arises.
  • Proficiency creating, understanding, modifying and supporting existing SAS programs and the business logic within.
  • Update process documentation


Requirements

  • College Degree or equivalent experience is required
  • Proven working experience as a SAS Developer or similar position
  • 5+ Years’ professional experience
  • Experience working in Financial Services is highly desired. Experience with SAS Studio and the ability to recognize and adhere to development standards
  • Experience with GIT, CASL, Data Visualization tools, and/or SAS VIYA is a plus.
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of MS Office Products
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to apply logic and implement that in code, based on business requirements
  • Proficiency in SAS coding. Ability to code within the SAS Viya 3.5 platform
  • Strong problem solving and diagnostics skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Required non-technical skills include:  written communication, interpersonal skills working in a team environment, complex problem solving, results orientated, adaptability to change, self-motivated, attention to detail, and possesses a strong production mentality
  • Ability to understand existing SAS code and be able to make modifications
