We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sanitation Supervisor to oversee our sanitation operations. The Sanitation Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

This role involves leading a team of sanitation employees, developing and implementing sanitation procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene regulations. 


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Sanitation Team: Lead and supervise a team of sanitation workers, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. 
  • Develop Sanitation Procedures: Develop, implement, and enforce sanitation procedures to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met. 
  • Monitor Cleaning Activities: Oversee and inspect cleaning activities to ensure thoroughness and compliance with sanitation standards. 
  • Maintain Inventory: Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring an adequate supply for sanitation operations. 
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with sanitation regulations set by local, state, and federal authorities, including FDA and OSHA regulations. 
  • Troubleshoot Issues: Identify and resolve sanitation issues, including equipment malfunctions, sanitation failures, and non-compliance issues. 
  • Train Employees: Train employees on proper sanitation procedures, safety protocols, and the use of cleaning equipment and chemicals. 
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation of sanitation activities, including cleaning schedules, inspection reports, and employee training records. 
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Collaborate with production, quality control, and maintenance departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of sanitation activities. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance sanitation efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications and Working Conditions:

  • Proven experience as a Sanitation Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing or food processing environment. 
  • Strong knowledge of sanitation procedures, chemicals, and equipment. 
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and standards. 
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in sanitation or related field is a plus. 
  • Work is primarily conducted in a manufacturing environment. 
  • May be exposed to cleaning chemicals and other hazardous materials. 
  • May require working evening, night, or weekend shifts
