Sales Team Lead

Oakland, CA

Lead the operations of the Event Room, Including set-up, Maintenance, and all physical changes for activities in the Event Room space. Ensure quality of service and positive customer exchanges. Ensure exemplary client experience of the Event activities. Accurately and efficiently record all necessary required documents. Provide exceptional service in all interactions. Understand, embrace and embody the mission and culture of Harborside.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads department operations.
  • Provides department schedule for supervisor approval.
  • Ensures the department provides excellent service and exceptional client interactions to achieve Harborside’s standards for client care.
  • Ensures that all phases of the client experience remain seamless and exceed their expectations.
  • Provides exceptional service and product knowledge.
  • Ensures the exchange of register drawers. 
  • Appropriately authorizes discounts and other changes in sales receipts.
  • Ensures all display cases have uniform offerings and accurate labeling.
  • Interfaces with Inventory Department to fulfill client product requests.
  • Resolves client issues and/or escalate to Safety when appropriate.
  • Ensures opening and closing procedures are accurately performed.
  • Maintains a positive, caring attitude, and treat clients/co-workers with respect and sensitivity.
  • Demonstrates leadership and compassionate management.
  • Partners with the General Manager to ensure all performance expectations are being met.
  • Ensures Harborside policies and procedures are being observed by department staff.
  • Supervises, coaches, and communicates with department staff to meet and exceed performance expectations.
  • Partners with the Safety and Compliance to ensure all on-site consumption policies and guidelines are met.
  • Partners with Vendor Relations and Marketing to ensure all expectations are met.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality with client information.
  • Follows and integrates Harborside policies and procedures into all on-the-job interactions, tasks and behaviors.


OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform associate duties as required
  • Ensure sample program is properly utilized
  • Ensure laboratory test results are current and accurate
  • Maintain and ensure all departmental equipment is functioning and in good working order
  • Attend required meetings and participate in team and professional development activities
  • Fill in when short-staffed
  • Provide timely and appropriate feedback to Supervisors
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisors


PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic Knowledge of cannabis law
  • Outstanding client relations skills
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Knowledge of cannabis strains and applications, effects and routes of delivery
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic computer operating skills
  • Basic math skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Requires prolonged standing and some bending, stooping and stretching
  • Ability to operate a computer, POS system and other office equipment
  • Moving up to 40 pounds on occasion
  • Work will generally be performed in a fast-paced cannabis dispensary
  • Involves frequent contact with clients and staff
  • Will require working varied hours/day, including nights weekends, holidays, and/or events on occasion


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior management/supervisory experience (1-3 years)
  • Prior research and study of cannabis and/or completion of cannabis industry-related educational programs
  • Prior retail or customer service experience (1-3 years)
  • Experience working in the cannabis industry highly desirable
  • Experience in the health industry highly desirable
  • Must be 21+ years old and pass a criminal background check

  • $20 / hour + tips
