Sales Operations Analyst

San Francisco, CA

PAX is seeking a Sales Operations Analyst to join our Commercial Planning & Sales Operations team. Our Commercial Planning & Sales Operations team drives operational excellence, influences GTM success strategy, partners inside and outside the commercial function, and executes initiatives to maximum impact. In short, they enable our GTM teams to operate as effectively and efficiently as possible in achieving their revenue objectives. 


The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally (with sales, trade, product, operations, marketing, finance, and external parties) in analyzing and creating sales reports in efforts to drive revenue. This person takes accountability for deliverables; they reliably lead and deliver multiple concurrent work streams and adjust focus as priorities shift. Our Sales Operations Analyst thrives in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity; independently taking vague questions and delivering meaningful analysis and results with an entrepreneurial approach.


Reporting directly to the Director of Commercial Planning & Sales Operations, this person will:

  • Drive clarity, visibility, and prioritization of revenue objectives and strategies through rigorous analysis and structuring the decision making process. These activities include:
  • Building sales tools to drive and expand revenue
  • Developing, maintaining, and distributing KPI/revenue dashboards and reports
  • Defining performance metrics and thinking critically about potential pivots based on results
  • Deriving meaningful, actionable insights and specific recommendations from complex internal and external data sets to improve GTM effectiveness
  • Building business cases for initiatives and resource requests
  • Managing external vendors (including syndicated data providers)
  • Owning market trends and insights; proactively identifying headwinds/tailwinds and providing strategic recommendations to combat/maximize
  • Support operational excellence through spreading best practices and tools including:
  • Useful playbooks for reps and managers
  • Strong pitches & collateral 
  • Robust training programs
  • Effective CRM dashboards/analysis and influencing adoption
  • Process improvement initiatives
  • Simplified processes and optimization of available tools
  • Build relationships with cross-functional partners (including but not limited to Consumables Operations, Trade Marketing, Product, and Finance) to ensure short term and long term alignment. Examples of successful collaborations include:
  • Providing cohesive actionable feedback on Product Roadmap and ensuring cross-functional alignment and GTM preparation
  • Acting as voice of frontline GTM team
  • Prioritizing areas for investment and focus


WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN YOU

  • BS / BA Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in sales enablement, sales operations, business operations, consulting, business development, finance, or strategy
  • Comfort with, and ability to operate at an aggressive, accelerated, iterative pace in a dynamic environment
  • Extensive experience with data modeling and data analysis
  • Excellent communication, project and time management, writing and presentation skills with the ability to confidently interact with senior management
  • CPG experience preferred; familiarity with cannabis or another highly regulated, fragmented industry a plus

COMPENSATION

In addition to the benefits above, this role has a pay range between $100,000-125,000 + equity.This pay range represents what we believe, in good faith, this role will pay. The final pay will depend on many factors, including years and depth of experience, level, and location of the employee. We only expect to pay the top of the range in rare and exceptional circumstances, for candidates that far exceed the requirements and expectations of the position.
