Sales Manager

Centennial, CO

Emerging & Growth Suppliers is responsible for the strategy and execution of their respective Sales Team, providing leadership towards the achievement of maximum sales, profitability, and growth. Has an expert knowledge of the business and can leverage Arrow’s strengths to build relationships and grow our brand. Also, responsible for mentoring, developing and motivating their Sales team; creates a high-performance culture and a pipeline of successors to all leadership positions within their team.


What you will be doing 

  • Responsible for driving strategy and delivering results: Makes recommendations to Sales Director on strategy, suppliers, recruitment, and customer plans. Through data analysis and past experience, make solid decisions on strategy and direction. Direct value-added sales opportunities by implementing supply chain, engineering, supplier, or service excellence strategies. Identifies and helps achieve individual supplier goals, not just team goals.
  • Manage Team: Recruits, hires, and mentors sales staff. Manage employee performance. Ensure the team is trained and has the resources to deliver sales plans. Coach and provide feedback to employees. Deliver high-potential sales representatives for future management roles. Use managerial courage to make difficult decisions when necessary. Prepare development plans for employees.
  • Develop customer, supplier, and vendor relationships: Enhance manager relationships with key contacts by providing superior service and operation excellence. Implement effective and practiced techniques for solving problems. Effectively communicate with all levels (supplier, customer, vendor). Attend reviews and meetings. Increase management presence at customer accounts in order to achieve access to decision-makers.
  • Leadership: Act as a leader in the branch. Instill vision and create enthusiasm to achieve goals. Use data and analysis to make recommendations to the team and management. Responsible for budgeting and planning. A key leader in facilitating the implementation of process improvement based on data.
  • This job profile requires the assignment and participation in a sales compensation plan. A portion of OTE will be variable and tied to specific sales-related goals as set forth by Arrow.


What we are looking for 

  • Provides leadership to managers, supervisors, and/or professional staff.
  • Is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related units.
  • Create executive relationships with vendors/suppliers/customers.
  • Develop departmental plans, including business, production, and/or organizational priorities.
  • Develop and implement QBR, Business Plans, and simplify processes.
  • Weekly meetings with individual team members to ensure performance and deliverables.
  •  Controls resources and policy formation in the area of responsibility.
  •  Decisions are guided by resource availability and functional objectives.
  • Identifies applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems.
  • Manages large teams of professionals and/or junior managers.
  • Ensure all deliverables are completed on time, professionally and completely.
  • Experience working with CRMs and ERPs.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. 


Experience / Education

Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a 4 year degree; or 8 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent related experience.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:

$152,700.00 - $225,504.53Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
