Solutions Americas is on a steep growth and transformation journey, aiming to demonstrate bottom line value to Shell while enabling our customers’ decarbonization ambitions.


Examples of Solutions product portfolio include “behind the meter” renewable energy generation (solar) and battery storage, energy efficiency & management solutions, marine vehicle charging and shore power. Solutions is a key part of Shell’s holistic electrification & decarbonization offering, in combination with renewable power, and EV charging in partnership with Business Mobility division. 


Our customers are mainly focused on marine, commercial and light industry sectors. Some examples include wineries, restaurant chains, mobility service operators, and many more.

What’s the role?

As a sales Manager you will have the opportunity to make an impact in the energy transition by leading commercial activities and client interactions for designated Shell’s Energy Solutions’ accounts in north America and drive growth by using a consultative/challenger way of selling.

  • Work with broad range of internal stakeholders to identify prospect account and bring the opportunity from prospect to deal.
  • Manage day to day customer interactions, sales processes, including customer relationship management, funnel building, deal structuring and negotiations.


What we need from you

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience with added value products, behind the meter solutions applications experience is a plus.
  • Track record of successful customer negotiations and P&L delivery, with an ability to quantify and capture added value.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills


The base salary range for this position is $122,000 - $182,000 per year. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.


For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave to birthing mothers, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.


Additionally, employees are eligible for disability leave for up to 52 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
