What You'll Do

The Sales Development Manager supports the sales organization by compiling, analyzing, and synthesizing data and information on Business Area(s) performance to deliver strategic recommendations relating to sales strategy, operational priorities, and initiatives. The Sales Development Manager has a deep understanding of the overall business, sales processes, and technology and combines this expertise with managerial judgment to envision, champion, and drive initiatives to advance performance. As a strategic partner, this role supports Sales Leaders in providing the tools and capabilities needed to keep the sales team focused on achieving and exceeding targets. 

Specific Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited to:

  • Owns and manages enterprise and campaign-specific content calendars to support and enhance the 
  • Business Insights, Reporting & Analytics; deliver strategic insights and recommendations, measure strategy and initiatives
  • Systems/Tools Development & Support; evolve, integrate, and administer the sales tech stack  
  • Sales Support; develop and maintain a resource hub and ad hoc needs
  • BUSINESS INSIGHTS, REPORTING & ANALYTICS – Build, analyze, evolve, and deliver strategic insights, reporting and analysis to help the sales team achieve and exceed targets.  
  • Collaborate on strategy development and support operational execution through aligned reporting and analytics and tool development and utilization
  • Leverage reporting, analytics, sell-thru data, field, and market insights to identify business opportunities, deliver insights and recommendations to Sales & BU Leaders
  • Develop and enhance the business reporting and dashboards to report, analyze, and publish progress towards KPIs including but not limited to:
  • Sales & BU Scorecards, Annual Initiatives & Target Reports, Field Events (i.e., Demos/Clinics)
  • Partnering with Sales Leaders, develop and provide Sales Forecast by Channel (Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly)
  • Evolve reporting & tools as a business partner, recommending options and approaches to meet Sales needs drive business performance
  • Manage monthly/annual sales rep compensation plans as needed
  • Maintain key sales team data concepts in Wilson data systems. Where appropriate, innovate and advance these concepts
  • Align and execute on sales team member onboarding & training in partnership with the Sales Events & Support Manager.
  • SYSTEMS/TOOLS DEVELOPMENT & SUPPORT – Transform sales digital engagement throughout the sales process, driving adoption and action.
  • Develop and deploy the use of global & regional sales tools to accelerate capabilities
  • In partnership with counterparts and cross functional teams, initiate and guide ongoing development of the tools and processes to increase capabilities and efficiency for the Sales and Leadership teams 
  • Increase adoption of Sales teams utilizing the tools through ongoing training and utilization development - enabling more strategic and actionable efforts, resulting in added value and efficiency
  • SALES MANAGEMENT SUPPORT – Continually evolve and maintain a resource hub for Sales, enabling process replication, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Be a valued partner and support Sales & BU Management in communication to sales teams and customers   
  • Create, update, and manage needed files and information (i.e., How to Docs, Pricing, Programs, etc.) in a centralized location for easy access and reference for Sales
  • Support ad hoc needs of Sales Management

What We're Looking For 

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. 5+ years’ experience in a sales development related capacity or sales/commercial environment. Ideal candidate will demonstrate an analytical mindset and strong business acumen with the proven capability ability to leverage data and insights and convert findings into business opportunities.


Other Qualifications Include:

  • Expertise in data analytics and visualization utilizing Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven capability in conducting and providing strategic analysis and recommendations
  • Strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills 
  • Ability to build and foster strong working relationships with cross functional teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
