Role Overview

We are looking for

A Sales Coordinator to assist the sales teams across market groups with data analysis and process optimization, will strive to be the sales teams' digital guru and from time to time will support a portfolio of small & medium customers in a specific territory. This position reports to the Channel Partners and Digital Sales cluster. It offers great growth potential in a commercial role or within the broader Solvay organization within Solvay Materials/Specialty Polymers.

  • Sales Coordination (ongoing)
  • Data analysis using Google sheets and Salesforce to optimize the sales team activities such as pricing, development pool, and account portfolio optimization.
  • Allocation coordination for specific product lines in collaboration with the planning, commercial, customer service, and back office teams.
  • Lead management coordination for the region with prequalification when needed.
  • Training of the commercial teams as needed for Google Apps, Salesforce, and new processes.
  • Digital support (ongoing)
  • Assist customers with the Solvay web portal such as set up, onboarding, questions, and support in liaison with the account managers.
  • Support Key Account Managers during customers’ virtual or in-person visits with data and documentation.
  • Small & medium customer portfolio management (as needed)
  • Ensure sales and development objectives for the territory are met, forecasted & aligned with financial goals.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other internal functions in order to meet objectives such as Customer Service, Credit & Collections, Customer Technical Development, Planning, Product and Asset Management, Marketing, and Automotive Cluster.
  • Maintain and continuously improve products, applications, and market knowledge.
  • Develop, negotiate and monitor pricing strategy for new and existing business opportunities.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts.
  • Support Credit - Cash collection activities as needed including alignment of payment terms to ensure timely payment.
  • Use CRM tool ( and others efficiently to document activity and manage territories such as growth, forecast, and cash targets.

You will bring

Education and experience

  • BS, preferably in Engineering, Business Analytics, Marketing, or related discipline.
  • 1 to 3 years of Customer service, Inside Sales, Sales administration, and or Technical service experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRMs

Technical skills

  • Strong proficiency in data analytics, including Excel / Google sheets, with a passion for processes.
  • A team player with solid communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent initiative, autonomy, and agility in supporting the commercial teams as needed; Strong desire both to learn and to share knowledge.
  • Materials or Targeted industry groups experience is preferred.

  • Remote working: Yes. This is a remote job, but it is preferable that candidates should be located within driving distance of the Alpharetta site.
