Sales Assistant

I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.


The Sales Assistant provides administrative support to the Publisher, Account Directors, and marketing team. This role serves as first point-of-contact to clients and prospects, assists Account Managers through the entire sales process, and supports live events.

  • 40% Performs administrative support to the Publisher and sales and marketing teams.  Answer telephone, calendar management, coordinates mailings, make reservations, completes expense reports, coordinate travel, coordinate agency/client events, order supplies for the sales and marketing team.
  • 40% Participates in client support-related responsibilities.  Complete Requests for Proposal (RFP’s), assist Account Managers with presentations, submit marketing requests and ID Edit mentions, monitor emails for insertion orders, distribute and files for the sales team.
  • 10% Supports live events.
  • 10% Performs research responsibilities.  so Research Department.

Education:

College Degree or equivalent work experience.


Experience:

 1-2 years related administrative experience required, preferably in media or publishing.


Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. 
  • Good analytical skills. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • % Travel Required (Approximate): <5%
