Retail Pricing Manager

The Manager of Retail Pricing and Projects is responsible for leading the redesign, implementation and ongoing management of a refreshed Suggested Retail Price Program. Responsibilities will include reviewing the current program strategy, usage and effectiveness and developing a roadmap for future-state including strategy, system and resource requirements, roll-out and maintenance. The role requires customer focused and strategic thinking along with the ability to execute on that vision. The ideal candidate will have experience with retail pricing, pricing systems and a demonstrated ability to drive project-based initiatives to successful conclusion.


Responsibilities (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).

  • Lead a team of Pricing Analysts focused on generating Suggest Retail Prices for the Retailers that we serve
  • Manage ongoing support of current SRP programs including all current systems and processes
  • Review current methodologies and processes used to generate store-specific SRPs; collect voice-of-the-customer to understand features and capabilities that are value-add; develop short-term and long-term roadmaps to move towards a more consultative and store-relevant offering; work with Pricing leadership to secure internal alignment for path-forward
  • Review current systems used and develop business requirements for any system upgrades needed to support enhanced program
  • Lead the phased planning and roll-out of the refreshed SRP program, including any system upgrades, development of communication collateral, development of dashboards to measure pricing performance and store-level implementation
  • Own ongoing support of the new programs including recurring store pricing performance reviews, maintenance of competitive data and pricing rules and ongoing system updates to improve functionality and efficiency
  • Identify and prioritize expansion opportunities and additional retail service offerings


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, mathematics, finance, economics, or a scientific field required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a pricing related function
  • Superior critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent analytical capabilities including (e.g., SQL, Excel, and relational database skills)
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to effectively articulate insights and recommend actions
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively influence and partner. Must relate well to all kinds of people, listen, and builds constructive relationships, use diplomacy and tact. Shows creativity and innovation in presenting ideas
  • Detail oriented, organized, and analytical. Has the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to drive projects and activities to successful conclusion, operating with a high sense of urgency


Work Environment: Generally, works in climate-controlled office environment.


Travel: Travel may vary in length and duration.
