Retail POS Support Manager

Remote (United States) Philadelphia, PA

We are seeking a POS Retail Support Manager who will

be responsible for working remotely with our customers and internal teams to support our POS Retail needs. This individual will be involved with phone support for application/software issues, documentation, troubleshooting and installation of hardware and software, and internal testing/troubleshooting of the system.


The POS Retail Support Manager will also help to support the retail team with other various IT related systems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, the ability to quickly learn new concepts, and be looking to gain experience in the IT field.


This position provides the opportunity to troubleshoot a variety of issues and gain experience with many different technologies. The ideal candidate can effectively communicate with customers in person and can always maintain their composure in difficult situations.


Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain hardware and software for POS equipment
  • Install, maintain, and support other store and office equipment.
  • Design, configure and test new equipment for the stores and office.
  • Conduct user training and maintain training material
  • Setup and maintain new user accounts
  • Provide support services for systems maintenance
  • Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components
  • Work with third party vendors to resolve equipment problems. Help identify the scope of vendor’s help.
  • Participate in POS integration support for new stores
  • Work within the scope of PCI compliance and participate in PCI Audits.
  • Analyze equipment performance records in order to determine the need for repair or replacement


Qualifications

  • Experience in Point of Sale installations and support
  • Experience with several POSs, NCR, IBM, Square, Google and/or Apple iPads
  • Experience with common point of sale hardware (receipt printers, shelf tag printer,
  • barcode scanners, etc...
  • Excellent organization and communications skills
  • Ability to support a wide variety of systems including 
  • Windows/Mac/iOS/Android/Chrome
  • Experience managing multi-sites in a distributed retail environments
  • Travel required in support of new stores and system roll-out
  • 3+ years of experience in network or systems management
