Retail Inventory Manager

Apollo Beach, FL

The Retail Inventory Manager utilizes forecasts, business knowledge, and collaboration to analyze sales data and inventory records and maximize sales by ensuring each dispensary is in stock on every SKU. This position oversees Allocation and Replenishment strategies by ensuring the flow of merchandise from Operations to Distribution to the Dispensary is sufficient to deliver budgeted sales goals.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate counts of all cannabis inventory by doing daily counts and performing reconciliations when necessary.
  • Function as the principal point of contact for the field for communication related to their merchandise, inventory, and planning needs.
  • Manage inventory replenishment system to ensure the flow of goods from operations to distribution and distribution to store.
  • Reconcile inventory with the State reporting system and POS system to ensure that all information is accurately porting to the state and no malfunctions of the POS and scales are occurring.
  • Place and manage orders and delivery tracking. Highlight repeat store performance issues to the Supply Chain Manager and Director of Retail. Communicate significant issues affecting our sales performance to the Supply Chain Manager, Facility General Manager, and Director of Retail.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports on slow-moving products and replacement opportunities and recommend replacement products based on product performances.
  • Create a transfer/destruction plan for the end-of-year write-off product and work with key stakeholders to implement it.
  • Work with the Supply Chain Manager and Director of Retail to set minimum stock levels on all new products and warehouse safety stock.
  • Lead the strategy for allocating non-variated merchandise to maximize each store’s sales opportunity while ensuring there is enough merchandise in the warehouse(s) to react to each store’s needs.
  • Review current items to ensure that par levels are accurate.
  • Strategically coordinate merchandise transfer from Store to Store to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Understand state and local laws regarding cannabis compliance and regulatory control measures.
  • Record and transmit accurate inventory data to corporate accounting.
  • Provide ad hoc reports requested by leaders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of prior planning experience dealing directly with store inventory.
  • High school degree or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Proven performance in a Store Planning role in a retail organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Enjoys working on a team.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Flexibility to accommodate scheduling demands, including some weekends, regularly scheduled shifts, and applicable holidays.

 

Physical and Mental Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 50 lb. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include hearing in the normal audio range with or without correction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus.
