Retail Business Analyst

The Retail Financial Business Analyst will manage core financial and business processes and
Lead critical retail financial analysis for the Retail business units within Gopuff’s organization.
You’ll be an embedded business partner with our HQ Financial team helping to provide financial
Insights to drive strategic decision making. In addition, you will help to support the retail financial
Budget and forecasting process.

Responsibilities:

Provide in store Product & Category Analysis (in collaboration w/Merch & SC) to develop performance modeling for improvement and increased sales & revenue
Accelerate retail financial growth by identifying new opportunities and solutions to be implemented for scalability, profitability, and defensibility of our Liquor Store business
Collaborate with numerous department leaders to support:
Budgeting and forecasting procedures
Develop operational goals
Apply business judgment and financial models to assist with strategic decision making related to new initiatives, products, and business opportunities
Apply an analytical approach to review of ROI, in-store customer behavior analysis, and unit economic impact from business initiatives
Monitor and 0rovide Productivity and Labor Utilization and Targets reports
Provide support for field teams on item maintenance, (example: no movement vs. slow moving items)
Discovers complex retail financial problems and requirements and collaborate with appropriate departments to design solutions

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
3+ years of Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, Consulting, or Investment Banking experience at a high-growth startup or well-established company
Deep understanding of the 3 main financial statements and how they tie together
Strong Excel/financial modeling and Powerpoint skills
Highly effective communicator who can easily break down complex information
Effective self-starter.
Able to effectively manage their own time and charge toward results right out of the gate
Ability to learn on the fly and to shape future initiatives
