WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As the Reporting & Analytics Manager within the Product Innovation & Consumer Creation (PICC) organization you will be a key member of a growing team focused on data analytics capabilities within Nike Technology. The newest member of the team will be passionate about working through the details to ensure our organization operates efficiently, has the initiative and follow-through which is vital to handle projects from end-to-end, and can build strong relationships across the extended leadership team. This candidate will have a deep understanding of business operational reporting, an agile-focused approach, an attention to detail and quick problem-solving abilities.


WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll be working within the Business Operations and Enablement team, delivering consistently trustable, precise, and quantitative and qualitative analyses, identifying, and measuring important metrics for quality improvements throughout the day-to-day operations of our function. Everything you do will be in the spirit of simplification and accuracy of process and information to ensure data-driven decisions can be made proactively. You’ll help develop operational processes, improve and iterate on existing processes, ensure financial targets and planning is shared and people operations are streamlined and as simple as can be. You’ll partner cross-functionally with leadership and central teams to develop and adapt org plans and priorities to address challenges or changing initiatives. You’ll forecast resource and capacity needs and partner with Finance to develop financial reports and planning for each of our senior leaders. You will also be accountable for the performance and results of the business operations team and provide technical guidance. To summarize, this candidate will have deep understanding of business operational reporting, an agile-focused approach, and demonstrated data visualization abilities. A strong attention to detail and quick problem-solving skills are a must.


A typical week consists of strategizing, operational dashboard reconciliation, collaboration with our leaders for hiring and financial management. Cross-functional collaboration with other Global Tech teams is also part of the daily and weekly work to ensure alignment, streamlined operations, clear roles and responsibilities, and collective partnerships. You’ll troubleshoot, be challenged to think differently, and evolve processes for the betterment of the organization. The role performs a wide range of duties; below is a sampling of some of the activities.


Organize

  • Supports the creation of content, metrics and artifacts needed for overall success
  • Assists in driving data delivery and its activities in accordance with mission and team goals
  • Verifies through data that activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization
  • Defines, gathers, and reports out on metrics for large, cross-functional initiatives
  • Recommends use of existing or new technical solutions
  • Performs hands-on data analysis and independently applies context to report on program health
  • Constantly pushes towards iterative improvement, both in terms of process and tools


Measure

  • Identifies areas of opportunity by providing useful data to key decision-makers
  • Monitors and reports on data related to team activities to a variety of partners and leadership levels
  • Proactively shares information including status, issues, and risks
  • Conducts regular program evaluations to identify areas of improvement and reports findings and recommended changes to leadership
  • Drives discussions about how to best drive key decisions using both data and easily accessible information display
  • Clarifies and leads new initiatives to support the strategic direction
  • Partners with leadership as the source of truth for data during annual planning exercises


WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Business Operations & Enablement Director. You’ll also work with your peers to deliver operational excellence and collaborate across the board to improve and detail accountabilities and responsibilities in our cross-functional operating model. And you’ll collaborate with partners across the Global Technology landscape, Technical Product Management, Engineering, Human Resources, Finance, Talent & Acquisition and Global Operations groups.

 

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
  • Business operational background, including financial competence, human resource and process development experience
  • A passion and competence for technology: Proven track record to translate technology offerings into business value
  • Works well with the ambiguity that comes with a maturing organization chartered to disrupt at scale
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Demonstrates problem-solving and creative thinking
  • Exceptional process development, business judgment, and analytical skills
  • Skilled in one or more of the following: Business Analytics, Operations, Data Visualization
  • Experience with the graphical representation of information and data through visual elements like charts and maps to identify trends and patterns
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build key relationships with a wide spectrum of partners, ranging from senior leadership to entry-level professionals
  • Strong communication skills with ability to clearly explain issues to a range of audiences
  • Preferred: Experience using data to fuel operations of an enterprise or team
  • Preferred: Strong experience using Excel, Airtable, Smartsheet, Jira and Tableau as well as any other data analysis and visualization tools
