Regional VP - Channel Sales and Development

Remote (United States) Broomfield, CO

Maximize revenue growth through channel sales & development by capitalizing on existing network infrastructure, and local market knowledge of viable customer segments and competitive situation. Responsible for costs including gross margin, opex, netex and capex.


The Main Responsibilities

  • Leadership of expanding and improving the Partner Channel externally into markets and internally with Lumen’s policies, processes, and tools or those created uniquely for the Partner Channel 
  • Leadership of the Lumen Enterprise Acquire and Customer Success policies, processes, and tools as they are architected for the Customer/Partner journey.
  • Lead from the front to drive a high performance, results oriented culture
  • Design go-to-market product, pricing, and promotion solutions in concert with field marketing, product, pricing and network planning organization for new partners and/or new sales
  • Assist sales directors and Channel Managers in building partner sales engagements and closing deals with partners
  • Refine, expand, and improve our existing channel strategy and define the types of partnerships to build within specific market segments
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and customer success leaders to adapt strategies to execute across multiple verticals
  • Understand the competitive market, and develop a team of subject matter experts 
  • Act as the voice of the channel internally amongst product, engineering, operations, and marketing teams to ensure cross functional collaboration in driving partnerships 
  • Direct leadership of channel sales, with dotted line coordination/ management of dedicated sales operations, sales engineering, and sales support teams, field planning and financial planning resources. 
  • Develop, implement, and manage sales strategies for the region in line with our GTM strategy


What We Look For in a Candidate

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience as a successful General Manager or equivalent in a telecom or technology sales/channel sales environment with enterprise telecom sales and operations management experience - including owning the customer experience in managed local market areas.
  • Bachelor's Degree


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in exceeding revenue targets
  • Successful track record bidding and winning sales through the RFP process.
  • Understand and evaluate network infrastructure; challenges and opportunities.
  • Effective management of capital planning and budgeting, including netex, capex and opex.
  • Master's Degree or MBA

Salary Min :144900

Salary Max :343850


This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.


This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
