Regional Sales Account Manager

New York, NY

If you are a solid sales professional who wants to be in a dynamic, fast-paced industry, this is your dream role! Heavy Hitters is expanding nationally, and we need a star Sales Account Manager in the state to play a key role in duplicating the success Mammoth has had in California. This is a critical team member who will drive sales, while also helping coordinate various aspects of product management with our business partners. Our Account Managers are strategic account builders dedicated to continuous growth. The successful individual is a savvy negotiator adept at building fantastic business partnerships. You must be highly motivated with problem solving acumen and the ability to multitask and prioritize to hit targets and achieve goals. Business to business experience is preferred, along with the understanding of driving sell-through. Solid knowledge of and passion for the cannabis industry from its origins to its current state is an important component of achieving success in this position. The initial focus of this position will be New York state. As Heavy Hitters launches in other markets in the region, the scope of this position may increase as needed and aligned with knowledge, skill and ability.


WHAT YOU’RE GOOD AT:

  • Establishing a solid presence and sales within retail stores through networking, demos, education, marketing, etc.
  • Maintaining strong partnerships/relationships with manufacturing partners and their sales team
  • Nurturing accounts to increase company revenue and market share
  • Understanding organizational objectives and creating strategy and tactics to achieve goals
  • Expanding the sales of a portfolio of products statewide
  • Negotiating effectively to enable wins for both the organization and its business partners
  • Understanding business partner and customer demands and crafting a sales strategy to cater to each retailers specific needs


WHAT YOU'VE DONE: (QUALIFICATIONS)

  • HS Diploma or Equivalent; College Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Previous cannabis experience in the retail, sales, processing, or manufacturing fields is preferred
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable and confident with public speaking and presenting
  • Personable, outgoing, and positive with a desire to engage with team members, business partners and customers
  • Minimum of 4 years of sales or account management experience
  • Established relationships with cannabis businesses preferred
  • General understanding of marketing and how to apply to sales
  • General knowledge and acumen with computer programs and applications including Google Suite, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Current Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Own your own registered and insured vehicle
  • Able and comfortable with frequent to travel throughout the state/region


WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: (ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES)

  • Grow the company's partnerships and presence in the New York marketplace
  • Manage pipeline sales, develop new account leads and close dispensary sales within the territory
  • Build knowledge of each individual account and their specific preferences to forecast needs, identify opportunities, and problem-solve without being prompted
  • Utilize data and/or sales reporting analytics to help craft sales strategy and tactics
  • Provide engaging education and training to budtenders and other consumer-facing sales roles
  • Participate in events, social media, online forums, webinars, etc. to network and connect with potential partners and consumers
  • Perform demos at various locations to share product information and promote products
  • Handle event scheduling and distribution of promotional materials, samples, swag, etc.
  • Deliver samples to current and potential retail partners
  • Complete administrative work timely and without prompting
  • Educate budtenders, buyers and customers on product offerings
  • Create and participate in demos and events to promote products
  • Collaborate with marketing function to support sales activities
  • Monitor product and industry trends, propose ideas and adjust processes accordingly
  • Identify competition and potential opportunities and work proactively to grow and maintain shelf space
  • Model and uphold our core values of Happy, Hungry, Focused
  • Able to travel 50% - 70% of the time


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to lift, push, pull up to 25lbs
  • Able to work on a computer for eight (8) hours daily
  • Clear verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Clear vision, speech and hearing
  • Able to speak on a phone for eight (8) hours daily
  • Able to bend, twist, turn, grasp, push, pull
  • Ability to drive a vehicle and travel throughout territory (this may be >100 miles in a day
