Regional Human Resources Manager

Syracuse, NY

The Regional HR Manager serves as a consultative partner to the Regional Management Team on all HR related policies, practices, processes, and procedures. This role is responsible for performing both strategic and tactical employee lifecycle functions within their assigned region. This position is critical in executing people initiatives, creating an exceptional employee experience, driving functional HR excellence and best practices.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the VP of HR and the Regional General Manager to align all human resource policies, programs, and processes with business operations
  • Partners with the RGMs, GMs and respective site HRMs/HRGs on the administration and execution of regional HR policies, programs and processes including employee administration, recruitment, compensation, benefits and leave administration; employee relations, and performance and talent management
  • Serves as a regional expert on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Builds strong internal, external, and cross-functional relationships.
  • Supports the Regional GM and Leadership Team as a consultative partner on all HR issues
  • Assists site HRMs – as necessary - in executing employee related duties including employee relations, performance management, talent development, and progressive discipline

 

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resource Management
  • Seven (7) or more years of progressively responsible HR experience in an operational environment
  • SPHR/PHR certification preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred

Computers and Technology

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office experience
  • HRIS Maintenance and Administration Experience (Wurk Preferred)

 

Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

For purposes of this Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, an individual is considered fully vaccinated when two weeks have passed following receipt of the second dose in a two-dose vaccination series (such as Pfizer or Moderna) or two weeks have passed following a single-dose vaccination (such Johnson & Johnson). Additionally, candidates who accept an offer of employment will be provided with instructions for securely submitting proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to the individual’s start date, as well as the Company’s process for requesting and completing an applicable medical or religious exemption form. No medical documentation should be submitted to the Company prior to receiving such instructions from the Company’s recruiter or other designated human resources professional.
