Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Manager

This role is 100% onsite. As Talent Acquisition Manager at Mission Barns, you will be responsible for providing direction and organizational support for all Recruiting and Hiring processes. You will work closely with the Head of People and various Hiring Managers to ensure all phases of the recruiting process are properly executed at the highest possible level.


Responsibilities

  • Supports the Talent Acquisition Strategy by ensuring a pool of qualified candidates in compliance with all federal and state statutory requirements
  • Proactively communicate with all parties regarding recruiting process timelines, feedback, expectation setting and deliverables
  • Recruitment of top candidates to meet the demands of the staffing plan
  • May attend external recruiting events as needed
  • Seek out new online posting opportunities, post and optimize, and strategically resource job postings on job boards, social media, corporate career websites, and other possible channels
  • Create deep talent pipelines to support the staffing plan and business expansion efforts
  • Manage recruiting admin and workflow for People Operations and Hiring Managers
  • Work closely with Head of People on general HR strategy and execution
  • Use digital platforms to develop & execute sourcing strategies, build robust candidate pipelines, and develop lasting relationships


About You

  • Passionate about the mission to create cultured meat and impact the food system in a transformative way
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Contacts within; Biotech, Hard Tech, and/or Life Sciences
  • Extensive biotech industry knowledge with ability to identify target sources for top industry-related talent
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruiting software and candidate databases - Lever Experience is a huge plus
  • Understanding of recruitment processes and ability to create and help fine tune new and current procedures and SOPs
  • Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and ability to prioritize projects and meet rapid deadlines
  • Ability to creatively source qualified candidates using the latest recruiting tools and techniques
  • Willingness to learn and apply best practices in recruitment
  • Prior experience exercising discretion and maintaining confidential information
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws in relation to recruiting 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
