What We’re Looking For

Leaflink is looking for a QA Analyst to join our New York team who is passionate about manual testing methodologies that help the engineering department gain confidence when solving interesting, large-scale problems at a rapid pace. This role will contribute to the buildout and iteration of testing documentation that ensures the quality of LeafLink’s existing and emerging systems. As a member of our engineering team, you will be in a position to have a direct, lasting impact everywhere that technology powers our business.

LeafLink is in the midst of a large-scale platform overhaul that will help continue to strengthen our position as a technical leader within the industry. Responsibilities

Understand product requirements through acceptance criteria and wireframes, translating them into clear and concise test cases and testing scenarios
Willingness to take ownership of testing activities from planning through test execution
Define the appropriate escalation path and priority for bugs found during testing to provide feedback on feature release readiness
Ensure all newly developed features meet requirements for functionality, performance, reliability, accessibility, stability, and compatibility across devices and browsers
Prioritize and communicate the estimated testing time required to achieve good test coverage in an agile environment when working on multiple teams
Work cross-functionally with team members to verify that features adhere to established project acceptance criteria and quality standards.
Perform regression tests on QA and Staging environments
Where no acceptance criteria or standards exist, advocate for incremental adoption of QA best practices.
Document and help to prioritize your teams’ bug backlog
Verify user-reported issues, clarifying the problem into clear, reproducible steps
Contribute to the information required to quantify application quality efforts
Work to expand your testing knowledge by participating in testing APIs that have clear test steps to validate

Qualifications

3+ years of Manual QA experience testing web application UIs
Experience planning and creating test cases in an agile environment
Experience testing web application UIs that use Javascript, CSS, and HTML
You value organization with an attention to detail and are excited by the opportunity to learn more about the QA domain.
You take pride in your work, enjoy finding the root cause of a bug, documenting it, and then working on getting it prioritized in an upcoming sprint.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with developers and other QA team members
Experience with bug tracking software like Jira
Experience testing modern frameworks like Vue and React
Exposure to validating test cases using database software or SQL queries

Nice to haves:

Startup experience is a plus!
Experience with Postman, and manually triggering automated test scripts
Working knowledge of Javascript or any other programming language
