Program Manager, Studios Legal Operations

Culver City, CA

The Amazon Studios Legal team is looking for a talented and motivated Program Manager to drive the success of studio-wide legal initiatives in support of a fast growing and increasingly complex global organization.


Responsibilities will include oversight of, and continual improvements to, the contract and rights management system used to track Amazon Studios series and features throughout their life cycle, managing project information, essential deal terms, and Amazon’s rights to exploit each title across media, territory and language. This role will provide training, onboarding and support to users, develop user guides, process documentation and other training materials, and manage troubleshooting efforts where needed. This role will also be responsible for leveraging reporting tools to develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly reports and dashboards that will support the needs of the legal and business customers.


This position requires a proactive, highly motivated individual with an aptitude for critical thinking and process improvement, who can assist in the strategic development of systems for global studio legal operations. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, is analytical and detail oriented, and possesses the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in a legal operations, contracts manager or paralegal role


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in the entertainment industry – experience working with a studio legal department is a plus
  • Experience managing relational databases, working with data visualization software and using SQL
  • Ability to invent, simplify and improve inefficient or unnecessarily complex processes
  • Ability to organize tasks, prioritize competing demands, find solutions, and follow through to successful conclusions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
  • Comfort with ambiguity and an ability to work independently
