Production/Manufacturing Lead

North Hollywood, CA

The Production Lead- Tablets, will oversee and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality output. This role involves supervising production associates, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and working closely with the Production Supervisor to achieve operational goals. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong organizational skills and a deep understanding of cannabis manufacturing processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of production associates and senior production associates, ensuring all activities are performed efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain a holistic understanding of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), ensuring adherence to high levels of accuracy and consistency.
  • Monitor ingredient intake: Track and verify the weights of both cannabis and non-cannabis ingredients used in production.
  • Create production orders in Acumatica to record cannabis goods and materials into the system, ensuring all inventory is accurately tracked and reflected.
  • Create and manage batch travelers for work orders, ensuring all work steps are properly documented for compliance and tracking.
  • Update work order summaries to reflect ongoing tasks and ensure accurate record-keeping for production operations.
  • Submit samples to third-party labs for testing, adhering to regulatory and company standards for product quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with the Production Supervisor and Director of Production to coordinate daily production schedules, ensuring timely completion of production targets.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to compliance, quality, and safety standards.
  • Train new production associates on SOPs, safety protocols, and overall performance metrics, fostering continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including GMP, safety protocols, and documentation standards.
  • Operate and oversee the maintenance of production equipment, troubleshooting issues as required.
  • Conduct quality control inspections and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Collaborate with the Production Supervisor and Director of Production to optimize workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate production records and generate reports on production metrics.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a production or manufacturing role.
  • Experience with cannabis production and ingredient tracking 
  • Proficient computer skills experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, data entry, and Acumatica or similar ERP systems preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cannabis and non-cannabis production and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in the cannabis industry preferred 
  • Ability to operate and maintain production equipment and machinery.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills with the ability to train and motivate staff.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive and physical tasks such as standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
  • Ability to work from 5:15 am-2:30 pm Monday through Fridayconsistently.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed

Salary: $21.00 - $23.00 / hr
