Production Application Support Specialist

Position Description:

We are looking for a Production Application Support Specialist to join our team in Toronto.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Provide level 2 and 3 production support for business applications in scope
Monitor production environments and work with various teams to resolve critical issues.
Work with developers, DBAs, Administrators etc. to analyze and troubleshoot the application issues / defects in a timely manner.
Lead problem resolution and improvement for repetitive issues
Good understanding of incident management processes, documentation and tools like JIRA, ServiceNow
Must have flexible working hours as per the deployment plans

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Must Have:

Hands on experience of L2 / L3 support
Strong knowledge of Oracle objects/concepts, writing SQL queries using SQL*Plus/Toad/SQL Developer, analyzing stored procedures & triggers.
Experience on Unix/Linux – especially commands/ shell scripts useful for production support
Experience on environment support – Monitoring and resolving issues
Good troubleshooting skills

Nice to Have:

Knowledge of monitoring Informatica, Autosys jobs & related processes.
Knowledge on JAVA applications hosted on WebLogic 11g and 12c – Incident investigation & resolution
