Product Operations Project Manager

The ideal Product Operations Project Manager will be able to see the big picture, while getting into the details and consistently following through. This role is key to creating visibility around product development processes and managing cross-functional, multi-channel projects from concept through launch. This role will be a critical partner across our internal teams, stakeholders, and industry partners as we continue to innovate and expand our product portfolio. To succeed, both a flexible skillset and mindset are necessary, as well as the ability to think strategically, execute tactically, and collaborate across many teams, levels, and rigorous timelines.


This is a full-time, remote position with occasional (>10%) domestic travel required. Reporting to the Director of Global Quality & Technical Services, essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with marketing and operations teams to drive the product development process for commercialization across a wide range of products, from conception through launch.
  • Collect, validate, and share information from internal teams, including, but not limited to: COGS, demand plans, sales forecasts, state compliance details, pricing, product details, etc.
  • Gather, streamline and manage updates from the technical services team (head of products & regional QC managers) internal project tracking data consistently so information is always up-to-date and clear.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders, lead project update meetings, maintain timelines, resource allocation, and prepare project reports for/from the products team.
  • Review product assets with a keen eye for state nuances and updates needed prior to launch.
  • Ability to simultaneously see the big picture of a project, while monitoring the effectiveness and contributions of the individual project functions.
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional partners, leadership, and internal and external partners.
  • Identify roadblocks, challenges and risks and recommend resolutions.
  • Identify and resolve conflict and mitigate issues quickly.
  • Take initiative as a key partner in the development of processes, tools, and tracking metrics for project management and product development.
  • Provide planning support to project teams, to ensure that projects are well-planned and have a high probability of being executed on-schedule and within scope, while cascading and managing resources appropriately.
  • Other duties, projects and tasks as encountered and/or directed.


KEY CAPABILITIES/CHARACTERISTICS:

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in the CPG space, multi-channel product launches and/or project management, operations, manufacturing or supply chain, product development, or other experience that demonstrates cross-functional collaboration. Progressive experience in multi-market, multi-channel companies.
  • Experience within cannabis is a plus; passion for Cookies and the cannabis industry is a big plus.
  • A bachelor’s degree or similar demonstrated experience is preferred but not required.
  • Extremely organized, able to work independently, with a keen ability to multitask and prioritize with urgency within a fast-paced environment with often competing priorities.
  • Action-oriented, with strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving capabilities.
  • Comfortable with the ambiguity and fast pace that accompanies new innovation.
  • High energy, with a positive, curious, and open mind.
  • Strong project management skills with a focus on results, accountability, collaboration, quality, cost efficiency, and timelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
  • Be flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels.
  • Strong conflict management, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Extremely organized, able to work independently, with a keen ability to multitask and prioritize with urgency within a fast-paced environment with often competing priorities.
  • Familiar with G-Suite and Microsoft Office Suite, and advanced knowledge of project management tools, including Smartsheet, Asana, Agile methodologies, etc.
