Product Development Specialist

The Product Development Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and launch of new products and product enhancements within the organization. This role involves conducting market research, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing product development projects to ensure the successful delivery of innovative and marketable products.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Market Research: Conduct market research and analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings to inform product development strategies.
  • Product Conceptualization: Collaborate with stakeholders to conceptualize new product ideas and enhancements, including defining product specifications, features, and requirements.
  • Project Management: Manage product development projects from conception to launch, including project planning, resource allocation, timeline management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, operations, and sales, to ensure alignment and integration of product development efforts.
  • Prototype Development: Coordinate the development of product prototypes and samples, including conducting product testing and gathering feedback for iteration and improvement.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards throughout the product development process, including product safety, quality, and labeling requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of product development activities, including project plans, specifications, test results, and regulatory filings.
  • Product Launch: Support the launch of new products and product enhancements, including coordinating marketing activities, training sales teams, and monitoring product performance post-launch.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve product development processes and practices to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Product Management, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in product development or related roles, preferably in the cannabis or consumer goods industry.

Pay Rate: $70000 - $75000 per year
