Product Development Assistant

As a Product Development Assistant for Good American, you will play a crucial role in assisting the product development team in bringing new fashion products into the line. Working closely with designers, merchandisers, and suppliers, you will contribute to the overall product development process, from concept to production. This role will provide you with valuable hands-on experience in the fashion industry and an opportunity to learn about the various aspects of product development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitor product offerings. Analyze data and present findings to the product development team.
  • Concept Development: Send out initial target cost to vendors once provided by Denim and RTW product development teams. Arrange sample sent outs to vendors for all new developments across DENIM and RTW
  • Material and Trim Sourcing: Assist in sourcing and evaluating fabric, trims, and other materials needed for product samples and production. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality control.
  • Sample Development: Support the product development teams in tracking Protos and SMS samples. Updating charts with ETAs and Status. Assist in organizing samples for cross-functional teams once received and passing samples to appropriate teams each season
  • Production Support: Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to monitor production timelines, ensure quality standards are met, and resolve any production-related issues. Assist in managing product specifications, bills of materials, and production documentation.
  • Communication and Coordination: Maintain regular communication with cross-functional teams, including designers, merchandisers, suppliers, and production partners. Assist in coordinating sample approvals, fabric approvals, and other necessary documentation.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation related to product development, including sample inventory, material libraries, and product specifications. Generate reports and summaries as required from WFX
  • Packages and Shipments: Check Daily for packages received for DENIM and RTW product development teams. Assist with print labels and arranging parcels for send out when needed.


This role requires to be in office FOUR days a week.
