Product Developer Assistant
Huckberry is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist the Technical Designer and Product Developers on the House Brands Teams. This person is driven by the technical aspect of the design process, is very organized and has a basic understanding of garments and construction. Huckberry is looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is willing to learn more about the production side of the fashion industry!
Please note this is a contract position
Responsibilities
- Must be in-person/onsite in Austin TX
- Assist the Technical Designer with measuring samples and taking notes
- Steam samples to prepare for live fittings
- Assist in PLM TP creations
- Assist Technical Designer in completing Fit Notes for factories
- Organizing fit sample library
- Shipping TOPs for photoshoots
- Filing, organizing, and data entry
- Available ~10 hours a week (preferably 5 hours Tuesday/Wednesday)
Requirements
- 1 year minimum in the apparel industry and willing to learn more about the Fashion industry.
- Bonus if you have a Fashion/Technical design degree
- Basic understanding of garment construction, patterns and specing garments
- Microsoft Word
- Google Docs
- Excel
- Gmail
- Illustrator and PLM experience a plus but not required
