Product Designer

As a Product Designer at Dutchie, you will be responsible for taking products, features, and experiences from start to finish. You will utilize your full range of product, interaction, and visual design skills as a designer on one of our core products. We value collaboration and balancing rigorous product thinking with thoughtfully crafted experiences. As a close partner to Product and Engineering, Dutchie’s Product Design team plays a critical role in executing on the company vision. The work we do results in delightful, highly crafted, and easy-to-use products.


About this Squad

The Back of House Squad works on Dutchie’s robust, industry-leading web product that is the backbone of all our products across eCommerce, Point of Sale, Payments, Cultivation, Manufacturing, and more. This powerful and complex product includes workflows and features like analytics and reporting dashboards, inventory management, pricing, employee management and permissions, discounts and promotions, cultivation, manufacturing, traceability, compliance, and more.


What You’ll Do...

  • Work through complex design problems from beginning to end and translate insights from research and analytics into air-tight concepts. As a part of this, you will be responsible for designing and iterating on workflows, interactions, and features that will shape current and future products. 
  • Create and prototype high-quality wireframes that allow us to efficiently gather feedback, evaluate viability and build iteratively towards the overall roadmap and vision. 
  • Build out high-fidelity screens with detailed components, interactions, and transitions. Leveraging and evolving our design systems.
  • Work closely with PM, UXR, Design and Engineering as you build, iterate on, and ship these features. 
  • Work closely with other Product Designers to raise the bar on design quality (never satisfied with status quo), maintain design consistency and coherence across features and processes. 
  • Participate in structured design critiques and openly share work and ideas.


What You Bring...

  • 2+ years of experience in end-to-end Product Design with a strong UX background.
  • A user-centric design approach and data-driven design process; you like to dig deep to identify problems and provide solutions based on that.
  • Experience designing on multiple platforms from responsive web to native mobile. 
  • Experience embedded in a team with close collaboration across other disciplines including design, product management, engineering, analytics, and research. 
  • Understanding of the product development process: research and problem solving, detailed UI, visual, and interaction design.
  • Solid design and prototyping experience using Figma.
  • Comfort in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with achievable yet tight deadlines and priorities. 
  • Low ego and open minded. You are an advocate for collaboration and anticipate the needs of the team at-large, bringing an empathetic and humble approach to everything you do. 


Bonus:

  • Past experience working with logistics tools, data visualization, and administrative systems. 
  • Experience with advanced prototyping and animation tools.
