Okta is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Business Systems Analyst Intern to help us support our core business and financial systems. As a Business Systems Analyst Intern you will gain hands-on experience in some of the Financial systems by supporting various projects and initiatives within Okta.


This internship offers an opportunity to develop skills in Netsuite, Xactly, Anaplan, gain exposure to Financial applications, and contribute to the success of our team. This role will assist other core business systems analysts across IT for strategic and business as usual projects.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day tasks and projects as assigned by senior team members.
  • Provide support for administrative tasks in Financial applications (mainly Netsuite and Xactly) as needed.
  • Assist in the creation of presentations, reports, and other materials.
  • Attend meetings and take detailed notes for reference and follow-up.
  • Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas and contribute to project discussions, and documentation of processes as needed to achieve project goals and deadlines.
  • Partner with senior team members to support Business and Systems analysis work in areas of defined scope and specific business processes, use established processes to support analysis and output documentation
  • Develop understanding for current processes, pain points, and assumptions for business systems and continuously identify gaps and opportunities for automation projects that will streamline processes
  • Support implementation, test plans, and configuration tasks to support successful deployment of strategic and business as usual projects.


Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, preferably in Finance/Accounting/Commissions areas.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Have a solid analytical mindset, excellent interpersonal communications, diligent time management skills, be team-oriented and have a strong work ethic.


As an intern, you’ll do real work that matters. While you’re on board, you’ll work on meaningful projects and have an opportunity to see what working at Okta is all about. You’ll also have the support of your mentor and manager to help you develop new skills.

We want you to grow professionally and you’ll do that through participating in events like our Executive Speaker Series and Brown Bags. And of course, we want you to have fun too.


Interns may choose the format of their internship: either in-person at one of our Okta offices, or virtually. We give our interns the opportunity to choose the option that best suits their needs. 


We offer 12 week internships in the U.S. in the Summer and 16 week co-ops in Canada.
