Procurement Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure all packaging materials, retail, and swag items.
  • Place purchase orders, manage items, and drop shipments through multiple softwares.
  • Manage all packaging/swag designs with the creative team and route to suppliers for approval.
  • Collaborate with the products team to bring product concepts to life via packaging/Creative management.
  • Track and manage spend per category.
  • Maintain supplier relationships and manage communication to ensure quantities, quality and pricing meet standards, as well as handling all administrative duties.
  • Manage vendor invoices process, working closely with Accounting to ensure timely payments.
  • Manage the schedule of inbound and drop shipments, communicating timely or delayed deliveries with the warehouse team and relevant stakeholders.
  • Liaise with planning team to oversee and manage packaging inventory levels.
  • Manage the depletion of packaging as it relates to design changes.
  • Communicate with partners and internal team on material availability and delivery dates.
  • Other duties and projects as directed.


You have:

  • 5+ years of experience in a sourcing or procurement role.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel) and G-suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) knowledge and experience.
  • BA/BS in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering or similar preferred.
  • Basic understanding of print ready art files.
  • ERP and/or inventory software experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data from a variety of sources.
  • Raw materials and packaging experience strongly preferred.
  • Robust communication, organization and time management skills.
  • Excel in a fast-paced, “always on the go” start-up environment.
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and change.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize with urgency within a fast-paced environment with often competing priorities.
  • Communicate and work with all levels of employees and partners, both internally and externally, demonstrating expertise and professionalism.
  • Exceptional project and time management skills – highly organized, flawless attention to detail, with a keen ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written, oral and communications skills.
  • Ability to coordinate efforts across departments and execute successful results.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and be flexible in a dynamic team environment.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team.

This is a full-time position with the ability to work remotely. While our team and company-operated retail locations are primarily located in California, Bay Area residence is preferred.
