Team or Function Overview
The Pro Retail Sales Specialist promotes GAF product offerings and strengthens existing business relationships in an effort to grow sales within the Pro Segment.
The Pro Retail Sales Specialist will be responsible for visiting and building rapport with Retail Pro Desks, Store Managers, Key Decision Makers (KDMs), Account Executive of Pro Services (PSMs/PARs), Market Directors, and Vice Presidents of Store Operations (VPSO) within the assigned region and/or market(s) in order to promote GAF product offerings and to strengthen existing business relationships in an effort to grow sales within the Pro Business Segment.
Essential Duties Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for driving and increasing Pro-Business sales within all assigned stores, region(s) and/or market(s)
- Develop and maintain relationships at regional level of management
- Facilitate and coordinate large and complex orders
- Act as primary retail sales representative overseeing all contractor sales within the assigned region(s)/market(s)
- Develop Retail business plans through understanding key sales business drivers in order to grow, develop, maintain and manage the overall relationship with regional businesses, branches of national customers,and existing business accounts
- Spend ample amount of time at customer job sites and business locations in order to further develop customer relationships
- Collaborate directly with Home Depot/Lowes internal teams (RPSMs / PARs / PSMs / Store Mgrs /PRO Acct. Mgrs) ) and GAF Retail Sales Representatives in their assigned territory to generate new business leads.

Physical Demands
- Ability to routinely work in a stationary position for long periods of time
- Ability to routinely move about to accomplish tasks or to move from one work area to another
- Ability to position self to bend, pull, and reach overhead and/or below shoulder level to perform filling functions,lifting, carrying, and moving of products/materials occasionally
- Ability to sit, stand, walk and use hands to grasp, handle or feel objects, tools, and product samples routinely
- Ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps occasionally
- Ability to work with heights occasionally
- Frequent sitting, walking, and standing; occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing
- Ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 lbs of products, materials, boxes, equipment, etc. occasionally
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions including high/low temperatures, inclement weather, wind, dust, humidity, etc., frequently
- Ability to frequently and quickly converse with and convey information to others on the phone and in-person
- Manual dexterity to routinely operate standard office equipment and keyboards
- Visual acuity including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus routinely to view documents and computer screens, operate motor vehicles, perform visual inspections, etc.
- Must continuously have the ability to differentiate colors precisely
- Ability to wear and work in PPE occasionally
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel without assistance routinely
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and safely traverse/navigate jobsites in a constant state of alertness routinely
Under This Roof, We Require
At least 1-year experience selling products in the home improvement, construction, or property maintenance industry
- The ability to have and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel up to 75%, including overnight travel
- Previous experience selling into Big Box stores strongly preferred
Under This Roof, We Also Value
3+ years of relevant professional Sales experience and/or calling on contractors within the retail or consumer goods industry
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Intermediate understanding of Residential roofing and/some Commercial Roofing products
- Strong knowledge of industries, processes, and systems
- Intermediate sales knowledge and proposal skills
- Intermediate knowledge of the Salesforce (CRM) platform
- Strong communication skills with strong customer focus
- Strong knowledge of the Salesforce (CRM) platform, Tableau Dashboard Platform, and Google Suites
- Intermediate to advanced analytical skills
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to build working relationships
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Advanced level negotiation skills
- Presentation skills in a small group setting

Annual Salary Range: 58,500-74,750
Annual Bonus Range: 24,000-33,000
