The Privacy Operations Specialist will provide critical support to and will coordinate certain critical Lenovo Privacy & Data Protection Program processes, systems, and tools, allowing those resources to operate more effectively and efficiently for the benefit of Lenovo, the Privacy & Data Protection Program and for Lenovo's customers and partners.


Job Responsibilities (Essential functions and duties): 

  • Maintain and enhance Lenovo’s Privacy Compliance Platform, which is comprised of several modules, including Privacy Assessments, Records of Processing Activities, Data Subject Access Rights compliance, and Incident Management.
  • Coordinate aspects of Lenovo’s Data Subject Access Rights program, working closely with case managers and subtask owners to fulfill individuals’ requests in an effective and efficient way.
  • Support important company-wide projects to design and execute Lenovo’s privacy and data protection processes to meet global legal requirements, industry standards, and customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain privacy and data protection education and awareness training and resources for the Lenovo community.
  • Participate in additional global Privacy & Data Protection Program projects and initiatives.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Competencies (KSAC’s): 

  • The successful candidate will have experience in supporting Privacy & Data Protection programs or similarly situated compliance programs in large global enterprises.
  • The successful candidate will work closely and direct support a range of stakeholders internally including, but not limited to, other legal department groups; and information, product, and physical security teams.
  • The successful candidate may also work with external parties to the extent necessary, including outside counsel and suppliers.
  • The successful candidate will need to have effective written and verbal skills; as well as an ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and diverse organization.
  • The successful candidate will need to have strong analytical skills and will need to solve a multitude of complex problems daily.
  • In addition, the successful candidate will need to have demonstrable project management skills and the ability to see projects through to completion via a mix of determination, patience, and creativity.


Basic Job Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of direct experience in supporting Privacy & Data Protection programs or similarly situated compliance programs, preferably within a global, multinational, and customer-focused company.
  • A strong sense of time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Teams.
  • Familiar with at least one globally acknowledged tool for privacy management.


Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.


Travel Requirements:

  • 10% travel expected
