The Platform Content Specialist:

  • Supports CMS users in executing various tasks.
  • Cleans up and organizing files and file structures and governing naming conventions.
  • Provides expertise for content tagging and classification.
  • Oversees CMS use to ensure the content being created adheres to broader platform standards and governance.
  • Addresses issues and elevates impediments to effective execution of day-to-day tasks in a timely manner.
  • Manages, monitors, and reports on day-to-day activity to ensure throughput translates to desired outcomes.
  • Assists with creation and management of documentation and training programs for tools and processes.
  • Supports the development of our content modeling strategy and implementation of structured content models.
  • Oversees daily operations and ongoing maintenance of the CMS


Bring your passion and expertise

  • 3+ years of Digital Retail experience with a Digital Retail/multi-channel retailer. 
  • 2+ years project management experience, with the ability to both oversee the strategy for multiple projects, and manage issues as needed at a tactical level. 
  • Experience with SharePoint, SQL, Business Objects, REI Business Rules Tool (BRT) preferred  
  • Knowledge of key merchandising, marketing business principles specific to Digital Retail. 
  • Proven problem solving skills from problem assessment to solution selection.  
  • Ability to identify alternatives and make contingency plans 
  • Experience with web-based analytical tools such as: CoreMetrics, Omniture Site Catalyst, Business Objects or similar demand driven solution. 
  • Actively participates and collaborates with others on one's own team and across REI for the achievement of business goals. 
  • Works smart by setting effective work goals, establishing priorities, and planning well in order to produce quality work. 
  • Executes effectively by using resources efficiently, meeting deadlines, and keeping others informed of work plans and progress toward goals. 
  • Clearly conveys and accurately receives information by a variety of methods and in various situations.

As required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, REI provides a range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets.


The pay for this role is: $47,500 to $97,500 per year
