Plant Accounting Supervisor

Renton, WA

Ensure compliance with Corporate, Division, and Plant policies for general accounting, inventory valuation, and effective internal controls.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Supervise MRO/Payroll Specialist including review of daily AP tasks, monthly reconciliations and month end entries
  • Coordinate and lead execution of plant internal control reviews including Sarbanes-Oxley documentation/testing and Internal Control Assessment Program reviews including identifying potential risks & opportunities in relation to plant processes and procedures
  • Partner with Plant and Division Materials personnel to manage Surplus and Obsolete (S&O) inventory balances and ensure proper disposition processes are in place
  • Responsible for reviewing S&O analysis, journal entries, reconciliations and various reporting and lead process improvements
  • Perform overhead budget, forecasting and spending reviews for various overhead departments
  • Responsible for Non-conforming part (NCP) Admin fee processing and invoicing and Outbound goods/parts reporting (eSR Admin)
  • Perform monthly fringe reconciliation analysis and annual fringe projections Prepare, review and analyze monthly journal entries.
  • Responsible for Quarterly Census Capacity surveys, corporate tax requests, 1099 and sensitive payment reporting
  • Assist with preparation / review of forecasts and annual budget
  • Assist with periodic inventories and other special projects as assigned, including system implementations and various process improvements utilizing Six Sigma tools
  • Assist with other quarterly and annual requests for information from Corporate and Division Office

  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Excel (i.e. pivot tables, macros, charts and graphs)
  • Ability to work independently, handling multiple tasks and changing priorities while meeting non-negotiable deadlines


REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • BS/BA Accounting Degree
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience with increasing responsibility
  • CPA


DESIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Big 4 public accounting experience highly preferred
  • SAP Experience Desired
  • Masters degree highly preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing / Inventory accounting preferred
