We are looking for an accountable and driven Planning Specialist. The role will be reporting into our Planning Manager and will be based in Delta, BC. This is an opportunity to start your career in a high growth and fast paced company.

- Troubleshoot reoccurring/chronic process problems.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares analysis to compare supply and demand forecasts to identify potential future shortages or overages.
- Work with our cultivation greenhouse team and brand team to align on grow plan adjustments according to demand.
- Review new product launch feasibility based on production timelines and supply forecast.
- Work with R&D and Brand team to identify disposition for excess biomass while maximizing return.
- Flags issues that prevent us from delivering goods in full / on time / with no documentation errors.
- Supports the Planning Manager in slides as required for the Sales & Operations cycle.
- Supports the Planning Manager in collaborating with the Sales, Business insights and marketing teams to ensure that we are always using the latest information for Demand and Supply Planning.
- Manage off-site inventory levels at partnering distribution centers to maximize sales and minimize obsolescence.
- Supports the Planning and Production teams in ensuring the batch allocation process considers our inventory, work in progress, constraints and lead times.
- Supports the Production/Order Fulfillment/Supply Chain teams to ensure that we are filling orders as quickly as possible in conjunction with our allocation rules.
- Participate in the cycle-counting program and offer improvements as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Passion and interest for a high pace / high growth start-up environment
- 4+ years previous work experience within a Supply Chain or Planning function
- Knowledge of Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Production Planning and Capacity Planning
- Proven analytical & mathematical thinking, and adept at solving complex problems
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel)
- Self starter who is able to see opportunities, and in turn, envision and create efficient solutions
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders from all departments at all levels of the organization
- Previous cannabis or liquor experience an advantage but not required
