Photo Studio Manager

Austin, TX

Huckberry is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Photographer and Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Austin-based photo studio. This role will be responsible for capturing e-comm, campaign, and on-figure photography in various product categories, as well as working closely with our Studio Production Coordinator to manage samples, and hiring freelance stylists, models, and photographers.

This role requires regular in-person work at our photo studio and HQ in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

Manage and execute studio-based e-comm, campaign, and on-figure photo shoots — working collaboratively with Art Directors, Photographers, Producers, and Brand Marketing to ensure we're hitting our brand standards
Oversee photoshoot scheduling, ensuring we’re meeting deadlines and able to operate efficiently
Maintain shoot records and process standards for file intake, retouching, and publishing
Manage studio environment, equipment maintenance, and budgeting for rentals or additional studio needs
Work with the broader Creative Team to implement processes to improve workflow and productivity
Work with hired staff and talent on set in a professional manner as a representative of Huckberry

Requirements

5+ years of professional experience operating in a studio/production environment
Bachelor’s Degree in Photography or a related field
Strong leadership and communication skills
Attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Studio Photography, Lighting, Retouching, and Software such as Capture One and Adobe Suite
Experience utilizing a Digital Asset Management platform is a plus
Experience shooting/managing video in a studio environment
